{ An Ivy Affair • Alison & Drew • Princeton University Wedding }

The first time I spoke to Alison, I knew I was speaking to a remarkable person.  Both she and her beau at the time, Drew had attended Princeton University.  The couple had graduated and are embarking on their bright futures.  I learned they had taken Chinese together at Princeton.  In fact, Drew even taught English in China for a year before they married.  Alison’s very compassionate and caring way, complimented her choice to become a doctor.  In fact if you were to meet Alison, you would probably compare her to Audrey Hepburn, because she exudes elegance and compassion.  If you ask me, they make a perfect match.  Naturally, they chose Princeton campus for their wedding day.

There wedding was very elegant.   The reception and Chinese Tea Ceremony took place at the Princeton Marriot Hotel. Alison changed into a gorgeous red gown to honor their relatives by serving tea.  What a beautiful way to show respect.  Alison and Drew’s first dance was to the song “I won’t dance” which was awesome!  Drew needed some coaxing to dance:)  Guests danced the night away to the music of Elegant Ensembles.

Alison and Drew- thank you so much for allowing me to capture your day.  It was a pleasure.

{ Sarah & Vinoj • Morristown, NJ • Westin Governor Morris }

What can I say, it was an absolute pleasure shooting Sarah and Vinoj’s wedding.  They are such a sweet couple, and to quote a popular song…” love was all around.”

This wedding was a first for me in many ways.  It was my first Indian wedding.  The colors and traditions were so beautiful to behold.  During the reception, Sarah surprised Vinoj with an elaborate dance, and by elaborate, I mean 20 dancers in vibrant costumes dancing for 11 minutes!  I was exhausted just watching them….but thrilled beyond words to be witnessing.  The family had also prepared a movie for all 300 guests.  Everyone piled onto the dancefloor to watch the movie..and the reactions were priceless.   I was amazed to see how much love and joy everyone felt.  I was truly blessed to be a part of the day:)

So the funniest first for me was that I met Sarah and Vinoj on their actual wedding day!  Vinoj lives in LA, so it was easiest for us to meet over skype.  And let me tell you…he is hilarious!  I mean, he had me cracking up the whole time.  The funny thing was, you could tell Vinoj’s humor was a trait that Sarah loved about him.  I caught so many natural smiles and laughter between the two of them…it made me smile while editing.  Smiling is contagious I guess.

Thank you and Sarah and Vinoj for allowing me to document your day.  You and your family were a joy. I wish you both much love and happiness:)

Cat & Jeremy • Newport, RI Wedding • Ocean Cliff }

I have been meaning to blog this wedding for awhile.  I shot this wedding with the amazing Alecia Lauren, who I met back in November at the Jasmine Star Workshop.  I was thrilled to shoot with her…I admired her work for over a year before I met her!  This wedding was really cool for me, especially because the venue was my former employer!  Ugh yes..I was a horrible banquet server back in college!  Talk about coming full circle.

Ocean Cliff is an amazing venue and offers spectacular views of the Newport bridge…truly a beautiful New England destination.  Cat and Jeremy made quite a dashing couple.  The gorgeous flowers we put together by Philadelphia florist Chartreuse.

I had so much fun…congratulations Cat & Jeremy!!!

Enjoy!
